Female Senior Inspector Lin Wanyi did not know what to do, and entered the third day (27th). In development, a floating female body was found in the sea at Er O, Lantau Island, and it was confirmed that it was the body of Lin Wanyi.
The remains were transported back to the Dalan Marine Police Base, and family members and a large number of colleagues sent off the remains.

At 7 o'clock this morning, a man found a humanoid object floating while paddling a sampan at Er O Beach on Lantau Island. He called the police. The police and firefighters arrived at the scene and confirmed that it was a female floating body. From the appearance and clothing characteristics, it is believed to be a female. At about 11:40 in the morning, the Commissioner of Police Xiao Zeyi arrived at the Da Lam Marine Police Base.
Xiao Zeyi said that the police were very distressed and expressed deep condolences to his family. He repeatedly reprimanded the smugglers for being "cold-blooded" and would step up crackdowns.
