The Road Transport Branch in Lattakia announced that the Lattakia-Aleppo Expressway will be cut off at the gas plant site, pending the completion of the implementation of a rain drain gate within it.

In a statement, SANA received a copy of it today, the branch indicated that the first section of the ferry will be implemented on the right lane exiting from the city of Latakia opposite the gas plant after the Industrial Bridge, so that the second section will be carried out on the lane leading towards the city of Latakia.

According to the statement, the expected time for executing the ferry in both lanes (round trip) is about 10 days, if appropriate conditions are available.

The governorate's road transport called on drivers to exercise caution while using the road, reduce speed when reaching the part where the road was cut off and diverted, and abide by traffic signals and indications in order to preserve public safety.

The Latakia-Aleppo road is considered one of the vital and important roads, as it serves many villages and towns located on both sides of it, such as “Roudou, Al-Amrounieh, Al-Jandarieh, Al-Rasteen” and others. It was the main road connecting Latakia to Aleppo before the implementation of the Lattakia-Jericho highway.
