The number of Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike in protest against the continuing Israeli occupation crimes against the prisoners has risen to seven.
The Prisoner Club clarified in a statement today, carried by Wafa Agency, that the prisoner, Hassan Shoka, joined the strike, bringing the number of striking prisoners to seven.
The statement pointed out that the two prisoners, Kayed al-Fosfous and Miqdad al-Qawasmeh, have been continuing their hunger strike for more than two months and are facing increasingly dangerous health conditions day after day. .
The club indicated that the occupation detains the prisoners in inhumane conditions and refrains from providing them with any medical care in an attempt to break their will, but they are determined to continue the strike.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including 550 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
