The General Company for Drying Onions and Vegetables in Salamieh has received qazeh from contracted and non-contracted farmers, at a price of 800 Syrian pounds per kilogram.

The general manager of the company, Basil Al-Hamwi, indicated to SANA reporter that the company has completed receiving about one ton and 600 kg of baderone, which will be distributed to the farmers to secure the agricultural plan for the coming seasons, as well as continuing to receive the onion crop from farmers in the areas of Suqaylabiyah, Salhab and Salamiyah, contractors with the company and non-contractors, at a price of 425 Pounds per kilogram of onions.

He explained that the quantities received of onions amounted to about 425 tons of fresh white onions to date, and there is a great demand from farmers to supply the crop to the company in light of the measures taken by the company to transfer the crop from the fields of the contracting farmers with symbolic prices and disbursement of the crop values ​​without any delay, pointing out that There are positive indications for the implementation of the company's production plan this year by receiving 1280 tons of onions.

He added that the company has started manufacturing the received quantities of onions for an operational cycle that extends over 23 days, where the onions are received within warehouses, sorted, washed, chopped and dried.
