Fashion boutiques and cafés were open in Miesbach on Saturday as well as on election Sunday - the city had invited to the Michaelimarkt, including Sunday shopping.
Miesbach - Numerous strollers cavorted on the market square and in the surrounding alleys.
In late summer temperatures, they strolled past the market stalls and inspected the merchants' goods.
Bright red pants, cell phone cases and housewares were on display - useful and pretty trinkets lined up next to each other.
To the delight - especially of the young visitors - there was also french fries.
With a bag of fries, mom's boring winter jacket fitting was quickly forgotten.
