District - The results of the 2021 election have been announced.

Ten candidates ran in Bad Tölz and Miesbach.

Two of them will now move into the Bundestag.

After the general election on Sunday, September 26th, the direct candidates commented on their results.

As throughout Germany, there are winners and losers in constituency 223 for the districts of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen and Miesbach.

Here are the reactions:

Alexander Radwan (CSU):

“Of course we as the CSU cannot be satisfied with the general result.

The election campaign was made more difficult by Corona, the Union made too many mistakes and we should have convinced more voters here in the constituency to vote for the bourgeois original CSU instead of, for example, the hopeless Free Voters.

Against this difficult background, I would like to thank all voters for their trust!

I see my good personal election result as confirmation of my work.

I am very grateful and will continue to represent the interests of the citizens of the Oberland in Berlin with a lot of commitment and energy! "

Karl Bär (Alliance 90 / The Greens):

“I entered the Bundestag via the Bavarian state list of the Greens.

I am delighted with the best Green election result ever and will now work to ensure that Germany gets a good government. "

Christian Kaul (Free Voters):

“The citizens of the constituency of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen / Miesbach gave me over 10 percent of their votes when the free voters first appeared in a federal election. I am really overwhelmed and touched by the trust that has been placed in me. Thank you very much for that. I would also like to say a particularly big thank you to the election workers. Since we Free Voters do not accept any corporate donations and therefore our campaign budget was very low, their help was exclusively voluntary in their free time. We Free Voters see this strong vote as a mandate to continue to be a role model for the citizens in the future of a policy that also takes care of the small issues on the ground and does not concern itself with maintaining power. A party that stands by the statements even after the election, which she gave before the election and does not pursue a turnaround policy. I have my concerns that common sense will find its way into Berlin, and I am looking forward to the further work that, as Free Voters, still lies ahead of us. "

Susanne Ehlers (the base):

“We are very satisfied with our share of second votes in constituency 223 of 2.2 percent to 1.7 percent across Bavaria for the base.

I am also more than satisfied with my personal first vote result of 3.83 percent, which is almost twice as high as the first vote result of the candidate of the left with 1.97 percent, a party that has been represented in the Bundestag for decades.

It should also be noted that as a newcomer with a party history of just 15 months with our local results, we lead the top ten list of small parties such as ÖDP, Bavarian Party, Piraten, Tierschutzpartei et cetera for both the first and second votes.

That gives us strength and confidence for the future. "

Erich Utz (Die Linke):

“We have clearly lost.

The past few weeks were not decisive here, but the past few years.

We all share responsibility for this.

We win together and we lose together.

This election campaign was particularly difficult for us because it was very polarized in the hot phase and more and more focused on the chancellor question.

The task now is to work through the weaknesses and mistakes of the past together and in a solidary process and to draw conclusions for the future.

We will take the mandate of our voters seriously inside and outside the Bundestag and fight for social policy.

We thank all election campaigners.

Our party put on a committed election campaign and was mobilized and committed. "
