Geretsried - fatal overtaking maneuver: A 64-year-old motorcyclist from Gauting lost his life in a collision with a 76-year-old cyclist from Geretsried.
A fatal traffic accident occurred early on Saturday afternoon (September 25th) on State Road 2069: The police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South described the course of the accident as follows: A 33-year-old woman from Wolfratshausen drove from the Tattenkofener Bridge in the direction of federal road 11. At some distance, recognized she a cyclist who wanted to cross the state road at the level of the Zehnerhüttenweg.

Behind the car, the 64-year-old motorcyclist from Gauting started to overtake.

The 76-year-old from Geretsried was seriously injured and flown to the hospital by rescue helicopter.
The police estimate the damage to property at around 4,000 euros.
An expert was also appointed to the accident site.
State road 2069 was closed for several hours while the accident was recorded.
