More than 6,500 male and female students are distributed in 32 vocational schools in Aleppo and its countryside and constitute the main pillar in supplying the labor market with qualified, trained and experienced cadres capable of using various types of industrial and electronic machines in 20 specializations concerned with carpentry, auto mechanics, electricity, electronics, air conditioning, refrigeration and textiles.
Eng. Mustafa Abdel-Ghani, the assistant director of vocational and technical education at the Aleppo Education Directorate, said in a statement to SANA that the number of technical and vocational institutes reached 9, the number of students is 1,000, and it includes 16 technical specializations, which contribute to enhancing the scientific and practical skills that students acquire during the secondary stage.
Abdul-Ghani stressed the Ministry of Education's interest in graduates of vocational institutes and preparing them to be essential partners in the reconstruction phase through various specializations that cover the needs of the labor market.
SANA’s camera monitored the training of students and their desire to learn professions in a number of vocational schools, where Eng. Majed Allamo, Director of the Second Industrial Secondary School, explained that the number of students reached 615, and it includes four specializations: electronic and electrical technologies, mechatronics and mechanical manufacturing. Theoretical sciences are linked to practical application through manufacturing laboratories. Mechanical, electronic, radar, mobile phone and television maintenance, protection and alarm, and halls that include traditional and modern electronic lathes.
The school, Zubeida Alwani, talked about mechanical manufacturing and how to qualify students and train them to write programs on industrial programming machines that transform theoretical programs and schemes into practical reality.
In the Fifth Industrial Secondary School, Nasser Muhammad, the director of the secondary school, explained that the number of students reached 876 students, divided into 7 specialties, namely computer technologies, electronics, electricity, welding, forming, air conditioning, refrigeration, auto mechanics and mechanical manufacturing, stressing that vocational education aims to develop students’ scientific capabilities through training them on machines in practical laboratories. To contribute to restoring the luster of the Syrian industry.
Mahmoud Muhanna, a craft teacher in the field of machinery and vehicle mechanics, talked about the theoretical lessons that are given to students about the contents of all types of engines and introducing them to their sections so that they can keep pace with the requirements of the labor market.
In the Industrial Secondary for Girls, Engineer Muhammad Bakir, the director of the secondary school, stated that the number of female students reached 86, and work is being done to provide them with various types of knowledge in the specialization of electronic technologies, in order to be able to build a scientific base that contributes to their entry into various types of engineering colleges and institutes.
