Gilching - The music school Gilching e.
V. as a public educational institution with branches in Weßling, Seefeld and Wörthsee has set itself the task of introducing those interested in music and making music and promoting making music together in music school ensembles, in schools, in music clubs and in the family.
The school celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2021.
38 teachers teach approx. 1100 children, adolescents and adults in approx. 530 hours per week.
The courses on offer include early musical education and basic training, singing, 22 instrumental subjects and a large ballet department with around 250 students.
The community of Gilching has provided the music school with its own building since 2020.
Due to the pandemic, there were major restrictions, especially when it came to the planned anniversary events.
In this situation it was decided to make video recordings of the lessons with the various instruments for the homepage www.musikschule-gilching.de in order to be able to better inform those interested.
This project was funded by the Starnberg District Community Foundation.
