Around 100 families are supported in the interdisciplinary early intervention center in Gilching by 12 employees from the fields of education, psychology, occupational therapy, speech therapy and physiotherapy, either on an outpatient basis or in the corresponding day-care center or at home. If a child under the age of six shows peculiarities in their development or behavior, is disabled or has a developmental delay, the interdisciplinary early intervention centers of Lebenshilfe Starnberg can help with advice and support. By recognizing and treating emotional and developmental abnormalities in good time, one can counteract impending disabilities or alleviate the consequences of an existing disability.

The Friends' Association Walchstadt hilft eV has been collecting donations for children with cancer and seriously ill children for around 15 years.
