Refueling has become a little more expensive for drivers in Germany.
Munich - E10 premium petrol cost a nationwide daily average of 1.582 euros per liter on Sunday, as the ADAC announced on Monday on request in Munich.
That's 0.5 cents more than a week before.
Diesel became even more expensive with a plus of 1.9 cents and was 1.441 euros per liter on Sunday.
Last week, fuel prices had already reached multi-year highs.
The recent increases in the price of oil have already been taken into account in the values mentioned, according to the traffic club. How prices will develop is difficult to predict. Crude oil prices continued to climb on Monday. While Brent North Sea oil rose to a three-year high, US crude oil was quoted at a two-month high. The reasons for this are both strong demand and scarce supply. On Monday lunchtime, a barrel (159 liters) of North Sea Brent cost 79.14 US dollars. That was $ 1.05 more than on Friday. The price of a barrel of the American West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose 95 cents to $ 74.93. On Monday night, the Brent price had even risen to $ 79.52, the highest level since October 2018. A barrel of WTI cost up to 75,32 dollars, the same as last July. (dpa)
