On the evening of the general election, there were some winners who were somehow also losers.

Katrin Staffler (CSU) defended her constituency of Fürstenfeldbruck / Dachau as the first-choice candidate with 38.02 percent (%) of the vote.

In the district of Dachau, the incumbent even achieved a better result with 39.6%. Michael Schrodi from the SPD came in second with just over half of Staffler's votes. He received 19.25% of the first votes, in the district of Dachau he did not even make half of Staffler with 17.6% of the first votes. Beate Walter-Rosenheimer, the third member of the Bundestag from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, landed in third place with 13.26% of the first votes in the entire constituency and only 12.1% in the Dachau district. This means that she will no longer belong to the German Bundestag. The reason that she has not been there for around nine years is that she did not have a good place on the state list.

In 2017, Walter-Rosenheimer got only 9.11% of the first votes in her second re-election in the entire constituency, so this year a significant increase of 4.15%, but a success that no longer brings her anything.

Dachau and Haimhausen each contributed 14.5% of their best first vote results in the Dachau district.

In contrast, it received the least in Altomünster with 8.8%.

Staffler could not decouple from the bad trend for the Union parties at the federal level.

Four years ago it was 43.64% of the first votes in the entire constituency, so this year, as the winner, it was still a minus of 5.62%.

Staffler got her best result in the district with 51.5% in the community Sulzemoos, the worst she got in Dachau with 34.3%.

Michael Schrodi came to 18.73% in the entire constituency four years ago, which means he was only able to post a meager plus of 0.52% this year despite the large increase in the SPD in the federal government. Thanks to his much better position on the SPD list, that's enough for him to return to the Bundestag. Schrodi's best district first vote result comes from Dachau with 21.1%, the worst in Pfaffenhofen an der Glonn with 11.3%.

The fourth winner in 2021 is Ulrich Bode from the FDP. He got 8.38% of the first votes in the entire constituency and 8.3% in the Dachau district. Four years ago, Andreas Schwarzer entered the ring for the FDP and won 7.22% of the first votes in the entire constituency, which is now an increase of 1.16% for Bode. Nevertheless, he does not move into the Bundestag. Bode got his best result in the district in the municipality of Karlsfeld with 9.5% of the first votes and the worst with 6.4% in Hilgertshausen.

Four years ago, Florian Jäger from the AfD even won third place with 10.22% in the entire constituency and moved into the Bundestag as a successor and fourth member of the federal constituency shortly before the 2021 election. But with the re-election there will be nothing due to a lack of list security. This year he achieved only 6.83% of the first votes in the entire constituency and 7.6% in the Dachau district. This brought Jäger a minus of 3.92% in the entire constituency and has dropped from third to sixth place of all applicants.

Susanne Droht won 6.84% of the total constituency (7.2% in the district of Dachau) for the Free Voters and thus snatched Jäger just under fifth place in the overall result list.

He achieved Florian Jäger's best district result with 10.1% in Odelzhausen, the worst in Hebertshausen with 6.2%.

Susanne Droht was best in Altomünster with 10.2% and worst in Karlsfeld with 4.9%.

All other candidates stayed below five percent.

With the second votes, which are much more important for the composition of the German Bundestag, the following picture emerges in the constituency (numbers in the district in brackets): CSU 33.33% (34.5%) compared to 39.83% in 2017. SPD 16.23% (15 , 3%) after 13.66% in 2017. Greens 15.92% (14.4%) after 11.00% four years ago.

FDP 12.01% (11.9%) and 11.59% 2017. AfD 6.89% (7.6%) and 11.55% four years ago.

FW 6.42% (7.3%) and 2.39% 2017.

Another winner of the 2021 federal elections is undoubtedly democracy, with a turnout of 82.5% of those eligible to vote, even if the turnout only rose by 0.32% compared to 2017.
