Kaufbeuren / District - The corona vaccination centers in the Ostallgäu district and the city of Kaufbeuren have changed opening times from Friday, October 1st. The background to this is the realignment of the Bavarian vaccination strategy. This sees the task of vaccinations in principle with the resident doctors and the company doctors, but considers a state vaccination offer to be necessary if the vaccination requirement cannot be reliably covered by other means. In addition to a related press release from the Ostallgäu district office, the city of Kaufbeuren also confirmed the said change in opening times.
For the vaccination centers, this means that in future the main focus will be on the use of mobile vaccination teams.
These are used, for example, in old people's and nursing homes or at schools at the request of school administrators.
In addition, special vaccinations will continue to be offered by mobile vaccination teams, as they have already taken place at the cinema or at sporting events.
Furthermore, the teams are to make vaccination offers at fixed times at certain locations in the future.
The opening times of the vaccination centers are to be reduced by up to 75 percent according to the requirements of the state government.
According to the current status, the vaccination centers are to be operated on this basis until April 30, 2022.
