Moosburg

- After the pandemic-related break last year, the “International Family Festival” in Moosburg will celebrate cultural diversity and joie de vivre together with international citizens for the ninth time on Sunday, October 3rd.

This time, the focus is on the Russian culture.

With music, dance, information, food and drink and the popular workshops for children, it should again be a festival for young and old.

Build bridges between people

Every year a different cultural area takes center stage. "Culture, the world language with which we can communicate about emotions, shapes and connects people", is the organizers' credo. Getting to know the beauty of other cultures helps "to build bridges between people from over 100 different nations who are at home in Moosburg". That is the concern of the "International Family Festival". The voluntary organization through the "Experience Cultures Initiative", with the support of the city of Moosburg, is to enable a high-quality program with free admission again.

The highlights of the event will be the performances on the cultural stage in Zehentstadel: The performance of the LETAS dance ensemble promises to be spirited, "whose costumes also have something to offer the eye". The balalaika is the focus of Vassili Barkan's play and thus also the songs of Russia. Born in Russia, Olga Koslowa performs well-known and popular folk songs such as "Kalinka" or "Katyuscha" in authentic Boyar costume "and with a lot of Russian soul". She is accompanied by Natalie Lamm on the button accordion and Maria Belanowskya on the domra. With the addition of Hans Augustin, the bridge between Russia and Bavaria should finally be built. Then the circle closes for the Bonauer Dreigesang with Heidi Littmann, Christine Büchl and Elfi Kraus and Bavarian songs.

Little visitors can let off steam in two workshops and do handicrafts with Rita Thomas or draw and paint with Zlatica Susec, while the parents can enjoy the cultural program.

In addition, the "International Family Festival" would like to tickle the palate with some Russian specialties - such as pelmeni, Medovic, borscht, piraschki, but also with international, especially German-Turkish, delights and various cakes, all contributed by Moosburg families.

The range of drinks is complemented by Georgian wine and Crimean sparkling wine.

All food and drinks are offered at family-friendly prices.

Information about the event

The “International Family Festival” will take place on Sunday, October 3rd, from 2pm to 6pm in and around the Zehentstadel in Moosburg, Thalbacher Straße 7.

All artists perform again after the break at around 4 p.m.

Entry is free, but the 3G rule applies to entry into the building.
