Danish justice on Tuesday sentenced to ten years in prison and deprivation of Danish nationality a 24-year-old man convicted of "
preparing for a terrorist attack
".
At the end of his sentence in the Nordic country, the accused, who also holds Turkish nationality, will be deported to Turkey, the Frederiksberg court said in a statement.
Originally from Copenhagen, the man was arrested in April 2020, immediately after the purchase of a gun and ammunition, while under surveillance by domestic intelligence.
The police had found a flag of the jihadist organization Islamic State in his home.

His deportation will be accompanied by a permanent ban on entry into Danish territory.
