The shop center around the Kaufland in Moosburg-Degernpoint is being expanded - including a specialist adult store.

- In Spörerau (municipality of Wang) there are already two erotic markets, and now Moosburg is getting such a business: the city's building committee decided on Monday to expand the shopping center around Kaufland in Degernpoint - and expressly approve an erotic specialist market.
Space for two more shops
Opposite the Kaufland there is a long bar with four shops.
This is now to be extended by around 60 meters and thus provide space for two more shops.
Together with the preliminary construction inquiry, various uses were requested - including a non-food discounter.
However, the Degernpoint question was first discussed in principle in the building committee.
Evelin Altenbeck (Greens) pointed out "that we have already had several applications of this kind" and that no inner-city-relevant product ranges should be deducted.
The building project would only be one and a half square meters short of a large-scale project with a significantly more extensive approval process.
She wanted to wait for a Moosburg retail concept and not withdraw any purchasing power from the inner city to the outside area.
Lieger Degernpoint instead of Landshut
But there were also other opinions on the preliminary inquiry. "A non-food discounter is no competition for shops in the city center," said Herbert Held, the head of the building department. Therefore, in his eyes, such a business is just as approvable as an erotic market. "We will not be able to save the city center by rejecting such a request," said Ludwig Kieninger (FW) and pleaded not to interfere too much in the market. "Without competition, people have to pay any price," said Kieninger, "and I would rather have such assortments in the Degernpoint industrial estate than have to drive to Landshut."
A big round of voting ensued.
The extension of the building by two shops was decided with 5: 4 votes.
A non-food discounter with 800 square meters also got a majority with a 5: 4.
In store number two with 410 square meters, textile discounters, a shoe shop and a bakery and café were each rejected with 3: 6 votes in order not to compete with the shops in the city center.
And then there was still complete unanimity: With 9: 0 votes, all committee members voted for an erotic market.
Nobody wanted such a shop in downtown Moosburg.
