The fact that there is movement in the dispute is shown by the fact that, according to a recent survey, a large majority of Germans are in favor of a speed limit.
The ADAC, guardian of the grail of freedoms for motorists, prefers to stay out of this discussion.
And the car manufacturers BMW, VW and Daimler are no longer vehemently opposed to 130 km / h on the autobahn.
Porsche boss against speed limit on highways: premise that nobody is endangered
Now the CEO of Porsche has also commented on this. In view of the carmaker's powerful and fast vehicles, his statement is no surprise. "Today there is still a bit of individual freedom on the limited routes with no speed limit that you have to keep in Germany," said Oliver Blume to

. At the same time he restricted: "Of course, on the premise that I do not endanger anyone."
"Statistically speaking, German motorways are among the safest roads in the world," continued Blume.
The Porsche chairman is right.
In Germany, country roads are actually much more dangerous than autobahns.
According to ADAC, there was an average of 295 accidents on country roads with one death.
On the other hand, one death is reported in an average of 410 traffic accidents on motorways.
