According to initial findings, a gray Opel Astra coming from Puchheim drove on the B2 in the direction of Fürstenfeldbruck and overtook a car that was about to turn into Roggensteiner Allee.
"The gray Opel Astra drove head-on into a blue 1 Series BMW, which, coming from Fürstenfeldbruck, had positioned itself on the turning lane to turn into Roggensteiner Allee," explains Police Chief Inspector Klaus Hofmeister.
“As a result of the impact, the BMW was thrown against the guardrail.
The Opel Astra then crashed into a gray Ford Mondeo that was also placed on the turning lane. "
Six injured
The 45-year-old driver of the Opel Astra and his two 51- and 55-year-old co-drivers were seriously injured in the collisions.
They were taken to different hospitals.
The 21-year-old driver of the blue 1 Series BMW and his three 50-, 55- and 58-year-old fellow inmates were also brought to several hospitals with moderate to severe injuries.
The 44-year-old driver of the gray Ford Mondeo and his two 11- and 13-year-old children were not injured and were discharged after a medical examination on site.
The Germering police have started investigations into the course of the accident and the cause of the accident.

Large contingent fire brigades and long road block
The fire brigades from several communities, including Alling, Eichenau and Puchheim-Ort, nine ambulances and emergency doctors from the Fürstenfeldbruck and Starnberg districts, three rescue helicopters, the Dachau road maintenance depot and several police patrols from the Germering police and the Fürstenfeldbruck unit were on duty for several hours.
The B2 was blocked in this area for more than six hours and could only be released again at around 0.30 a.m.
