An important reason for the great popularity of Turkey: its still very cheap price level. In contrast to other destinations, the prices have remained almost unchanged over the past two years. Only a slight price increase
of just under two percent
compared to autumn 2019 can be
observed
on the
Turkish Riviera
. Therefore, Turkey remains the preferred destination for vacationers who want to soak up the sun again in autumn.
In
second place of the most popular holiday destinations for fall Mallorca follows
.
Here, however, vacationers have to expect an average price increase of around ten percent compared to 2019.
On the neighboring islands of
Ibiza and Menorca
, prices even rose by up to 15 percent.
However, there is also one positive outlier:
Formentera
.
Here the average prices have fallen by around 15 percent.
The effects of the volcanic eruption on the Canary Islands cannot currently be mapped.
If, in the worst case, this should expand, it can be assumed that there will be a significant decline in demand from the neighboring islands.

Crete and Rhodes, Greece ranks third among
the most popular autumn destinations. But here, too, vacationers have to expect an average price increase of ten percent - on the mainland even an increase of between 20 percent and 50 percent compared to 2019.
Germany,
on the other hand, is currently rarely booked.
The persistently bad weather this year plays a role here.
Many holidaymakers are also waiting for the respective corona situation on site.
Should both the weather and the corona situation develop positively before the autumn holidays, HolidayCheck expects strong
last-minute demand

However, if you want to go on holiday in Germany, you have to dig deep into your pocket.
In the popular holiday regions of Bavaria, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Baden-Württemberg, Saxony and Lower Saxony, the price increase for an overnight stay in a hotel is sometimes over 50 percent compared to autumn 2019.

Travel tip: Portugal and United Arab Emirates
The
Portuguese Algarve and Madeira
are currently not very well booked, despite the revocation of the high-risk area status. However, both are ideal destinations for a last vacation break in autumn with moderate temperatures. However, an average price increase of around 15 percent must also be expected here. Those who prefer the sun and the beach will definitely find enough capacity in the
United Arab Emirates.
Here vacationers can expect a price increase of up to
25 percent in Dubai and 13 percent in Abu Dhabi,
