About half a million quick test kits for Corona have not yet been collected from MDA staff in preparation for returning to school from the Sukkot holiday on Thursday, MDA reported tonight (Tuesday).

This is against the background of the Corona Cabinet's determination of Operation Antigen 2, according to which kindergarten and elementary school children will be required to present a signed statement by their parents about performing a negative corona test - otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the educational institution.

On Sunday, the Ministries of Health and Education announced that children aged 12-3 who had recovered from Corona over the past six months would not be required to have an antigen test - so the updated decision may have had an impact on the amount of rapid tests collected.

To date, MDA has distributed about 1.1 million kits for the speed tests, and will continue to distribute them until tomorrow evening in about 430 complexes across the country. In order to save time at the distribution stations, you can register in advance on the MDA website at 5160 *.

The quick test will be performed by the parents at home independently on Wednesday, the eve of the children returning to school.

A student who is found positive on the rapid test will be required to attend a PCR test at the test stations across the country.

MDA Director General Eli Bin asked the parents of students aged 12-3 not to wait "for the last minute" and to arrive at MDA complexes tonight and tomorrow morning to receive the assessments.
