The Lebanese authorities seized 28,275 kilograms of ammonium nitrate at a gas station in Arsal, north Lebanon, and arrested three people.
The Lebanese Army Command said in a statement: “Following the availability of information about the presence of ammonium nitrate in the Bekaa town of Arsal, north Lebanon, an army force and a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided a fuel station in the aforementioned town and seized 28,275 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, with a nitrogen content of 26 on their bags.” percent, pointing out that a Lebanese and two Syrians were arrested and an investigation was launched after they sent a sample of nitrates to check the percentage of nitrogen.
On the eighteenth of last month, the Lebanese authorities seized 20 tons of ammonium nitrate, which was loaded into a truck, inside a warehouse for selling agricultural fertilizers in the plain of Badnayl town near Baalbek in eastern Lebanon.
