The 58-year-old retired nurse was arrested on September 11 in Paris on her way to a demonstration wearing a mask.

"I am traumatized and I did not understand anything".

Sophie, 58, was arrested on September 11 in Paris by the police from the Motorized Violent Action Repression Squad (Brav) while she was on her way to a "white coat" demonstration to challenge the conditions of application of the "sanitary pass".

Monday, October 4, his lawyer, Me Tarek Koraitem filed with the Paris prosecutor's office, "a complaint against X on the count of arbitrary attack on liberty by persons of public authority".

That Saturday, the fifty-something who lives in Le Bourget (Seine-Saint-Denis) is on a scooter driven by her companion. The couple was arrested rue de Sèvres by the agents of the brav. “I saw Ninja turtles who asked us for our papers and they found in my backpack: a protective mask, glasses and a white coat, says Sophie. I was equipped because I have heart disease. Shortly before in Bastille, I found myself stranded in a demonstration where there was gas and I was seized with a tachycardia attack. This time, I was equipped to avoid that, ”she says.

The retired nurse was arrested and taken in a van to the 15th century police station where she was placed in police custody.

“The OPJs were great, I had a seizure at the police station, I saw a doctor and I was able to take my treatment.

But I was still referred to the courthouse where I had a second crisis, ”adds Sophie.

In front of the delegate of the prosecutor, the fifty-year-old refuses to sign the reminder to the law which specifies that she participated in a group with a view to committing violence.

"I am still very angry"

"This placement in police custody is strictly arbitrary," says Me Koraitem. In addition, my client was referred even though she had not committed any offense. It emerges from these elements that the will of the police was to prevent this lady from going to this march. It is a violation of his rights to come and go as well as to demonstrate ”. The retired nurse says she is determined to see it through, as she was very shocked by the experience. “I come away traumatized and I'm still very angry. But I would continue to demonstrate as long as we live in a democratic regime ”.

The Parisian police, contacted on Monday, replied that “this person was traveling with prohibited items and was checked as part of a requisition from the prosecutor.

She first claimed to be an actress.

Then during her hearing she affirmed that she was a nurse on standby.

It was referred for a reminder of the law which is a criminal response that would not have been pronounced for lack of evidence ”.
