As far as the official penalties for these offenses are concerned, a basic distinction is made between the littering of streets or paths and rubbish deposits in the wild.
As soon as a suspect can be found by the police, the municipality will invoice the cleaning and disposal costs incurred.
Depending on the circumstances, the district office issues a fine
"According to Paragraph 3 of the municipal cleanliness ordinance for streets and paths, a hearing is then carried out and, if necessary, a fine is issued," the press release says.
The enforcement of the Cleanliness Ordinance is the responsibility of the building authority.
At the same time, a report will be sent to the district office.
The district authority then also issues a hearing before - depending on the circumstances - a notice of fines is issued.

In the event of improper waste deposits in the wild, the district office is responsible.
A particularly bold case occurred a few weeks ago in the nature reserve, on the cycle path connection between the Mühlseen and Massenhausen - shortly after the road junction at the Mühlseen: two large loads of used insulation material were simply tipped on the cycle path during the night.
The polluter is now not only notified of an administrative offense, but the costs incurred by the building yard for disposal are also billed.
