Poing - A total of 48 terraced houses fit on the four parcels that the municipality of Poing in Lerchenwinkel is now selling on the open market.

Twelve per property, all four adjacent areas are on the northern edge of the new development area.

Each parcel is around 2,900 square meters and 1,600 square meters of floor space can be built.

The municipality of Poing expects sales totaling around ten million euros, which are already listed in the 2021 budget, reports Mayor Thomas Stark.

He explains that the parcels originally belonged to a housing company.

In the course of its regression, the municipality bought the land - and is now selling it itself. Actually, the company had the obligation to offer these plots in the local model (lower sales prices for local residents based on a catalog of criteria).

This no longer exists in its original form after the European Commission saw it as a violation of the prohibition of discrimination and initiated proceedings against Germany in 2006/2007.


Poing: Offers possible until October 22nd

Interested parties can submit offers for one or more of the four parcels to the municipality of Poing until October 22nd.

According to Stark, the municipality of Poing in Lerchenwinkel owns another piece of land: 6,400 square meters near the area on which the high school is to be built.

7250 square meters of floor space are possible here; these are intended for affordable rental apartments in the EOF model (income-oriented funding).

Südhausbau GmbH is currently building a first residential complex in this form in Lerchenwinkel, with 60 residential units.

Completion is scheduled for the end of 2022.

The municipality of Poing continues to build social housing

On the website of the consortium (ARGE) of developers and investors at Bergfeld it says about Lerchenwinkel: "30 percent of rental apartments are subject to income-oriented funding (EOF) and 10 percent of the floor space is used for capped rents, i.e. rents that are 20 percent below the local rent level.

This creates affordable housing for workers, senior citizens and young families. ”In figures: around 300 EOF residential units and around 120 apartments, 20 percent below the usual local rent.

In addition, around 220 terraced houses are being built in Lerchenwinkel.

In total, there should be around 800 residential units for a total of around 2000 people, according to www.arge-poing-am-bergfeld.de.
