Revenge of the province? A new fair bringing together art and design will be born in Bordeaux. It will be called BAD (Bordeaux art and design), a name considered formidable by some, not very powerful for others if we refer to the adjective bad in English! Until then, no other metropolis has yet succeeded in setting up a quality art fair capable of competing with those of the capital. Like Art Paris (more than 72,500 visitors at the start of September), Fiac (the International Contemporary Art Fair opens in two weeks) and Paris Photo (early November), all three at the ephemeral Grand Palais in Jean-Michel Wilmotte, on the Champ de Mars. Or Fine Arts which will take place, in a tent, behind the dome of the Invalides, from November 17 to 21.

Betting on a city other than Paris to impose a show there is therefore a daring but possible bet that would bring new blood to the landscape of artistic events, which is still very centralized.
