Three Tunisian soldiers were killed when a helicopter crashed in the southeastern province of Gabes.
The spokesman for the Tunisian Ministry of National Defense, Mohamed Zakri, announced in a statement carried by the TAP news agency that "a military helicopter crashed while carrying out a night exercise in the Hamma region of Gabes province, which resulted in the death of 3 soldiers on board."
Zakri indicated that a technical committee will be sent to determine the causes of the helicopter crash.
