The National Assembly on Tuesday, October 5 unanimously adopted a bill on LREM reaffirming the prohibition of pseudo “
conversion therapy
”, these practices which aim to impose heterosexuality on lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT ).

Passed on first reading and sent to the Senate, the text provides for a specific offense against so-called “
therapists
” or religious who claim to “
cure
” homosexuals, an offense punishable by two years' imprisonment and a fine of 30,000 euros.
