The facility for persistent refusers of a corona quarantine on the grounds of the Moltsfelde youth detention center in Neumünster was shut down at the end of September.
"At the moment there is no longer any greater need for this facility," said the coordinator for public health at the Schleswig-Holstein district council, Daniel Berneith, on Wednesday of the German press agency.
Neumünster / Kiel - The "Kieler Nachrichten" had previously reported.
Since the start in February, seven people have been accommodated in the facility, according to the county council, all men, as Berneith said.
They each stayed there for a few days until their quarantine period expired.
The costs for the operation of the facility have not yet been determined, said Berneith.
They were determined by the Segeberg district, the staff had been hired until the end of September.

In the facility, there were six cells available for those who refused to quarantine.
The country had loaned the rooms until the end of this year.

According to the Infection Protection Act, so-called segregation comes into consideration as a last resort.
This means that someone has to visibly refuse to adhere to the requirements.
Violations must be proven and a so-called threat approach must have been unsuccessful.
Should there be new such cases, according to Berneith, temporary solutions would have to be used.
