The New Bavarian Corona Regulation leaves the decision on access rules to operators themselves, which poses difficult questions for the organizers.

County

- Which test do I need now?

Is mask compulsory here?

Can we all sit at the same table?

From today it can be different again - the corona ordinance in Bavaria is entering its 14th round.

With the new “2G / 3G plus” rule, the Free State is offering all organizers the option of voluntarily admitting only those who have been vaccinated, recovered and those who have tested PCR - without any gap, fully seated and without a mask.

In addition, when the new rule is implemented, the ban on alcohol at events over 1000 people will be lifted.

It is unclear how the audience will react to 3G plus

If you decide against it, you can continue to implement the “normal” 3G rule. The big question remains, how much will the tests cost from October 11th. For many organizers in the district, they are now brooding over what is the best solution economically, infectiously and socially. The big question: “Does the new rule exclude more people, or do you give more people access to event rooms?” Says Garching's cultural advisor Thomas Gotterbarm. You don't know exactly how the visitors will react to the new rule and: "Either way it won't be full again." After some deliberations in consultation with Mayor Dietmar Gruchmann, they decided yesterday to introduce the new rule in Garching from October 11th , as the “safest way for visitors”, as Gotterbarm says.

Other operators in the district, on the other hand, are sticking to the status quo for the time being.

"We are still sticking to 3G and distance," says Horst Frank, manager of the Wolf Ferrari House in Ottobrunn.

Customers prefer it that way, because even with the 3G plus rule, the audience would not feel safe without a distance and a mask.

Its operation will therefore remain with the simple 3G rule until the end of the year.

“It's not like it used to be, but with limited seating it is slowly starting up again, and we're happy with it,” says Frank.

"No matter what you do, it is always wrong for ten percent of the population"

The director of the Culture and Congress Center in Taufkirchen, Michael Blume, sees things quite differently. He still has to discuss this with the mayor and the local council, but says: “Personally, I think 3G plus is the best rule, I can sign it right away.” For him as the organizer, the new rule is great, because it saves a lot of money and doesn't mean more Effort for his team, since the 3G rule already has to be checked. It doesn't matter whether you check the guests' rapid or PCR test. "If you don't want to be vaccinated or PCR tested, you just have to do without," says Blume. Only those who have proof of the so-called 3G plus can enter the hall, because they notice that more and more people “accidentally” forget their test or vaccination card at home.He would like to introduce the new rule for the appearance of Bruno Jonas as early as next Thursday. "I would, however, think it would be good if the local council took up the topic," it is important that the decision is also widely accepted. But: "No matter what you do, it is always wrong for ten percent of the population," says Blume.

Sports event also affected

Whether the 3G rule with distance and without mask, 3G rule without distance and with mask or 3G plus, not only cultural establishments are affected, but also sports facilities, for example.

While the number of visitors is usually not a problem at most amateur sports events and the 3G rule can be implemented well with intervals, larger sports organizers are also working on their hygiene concepts in the district.

For example the volleyball players from TSV Haching Munich, who are planning their home game with spectators next Sunday and have developed a hygiene concept for 999 spectators with a 3G rule.

“I hope that people come slowly too.

There are still some who are afraid.

Hopefully all volleyball fans will be able to return to the hall step by step, ”says sports director Mihai Paduretu.
