Tartous-Sana
The Public Corporation for Drinking Water in Tartous Governorate has re-pumped water into the public network from Beit Ismail well in the countryside of Tartous city, which has been out of service since the 18th of last month due to the high level of ammonia in its water.
The director of the foundation, Engineer Nizar Jabour, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the return of water pumping came after ensuring its safety, as during the last period periodic analyzes were conducted and daily water quality monitoring was carried out until it was confirmed that it had returned to the permissible limits.
Jabbour pointed out that the well feeds the villages of Beit Ismail and Beit Al-Ayyat, indicating that the Corporation, as soon as this well is out of service, and in order to continue to secure drinking water for citizens in the Gaza Strip, has operated a horizontal pump that it had installed at the Al-Matahariya station for this purpose about a month ago, with some connections and the installation of a cut-off scaffold. And some modifications to the network, in addition to supporting the high areas in the two villages and schools with water tanks from the Foundation to alleviate the suffering as much as possible for the citizens in the Strip.
