It originated from the funeral café run by the Protestant church.

The funeral café served as an exchange for people who have lost loved ones.

The cafe was a way to meet people who had the same thing happened to.

Then we decided in the Grafrath neighborhood help that, in addition to the funeral café, we could also launch a project that focuses on beautiful things.

So we came up with the idea of offering an afternoon of games.

What games are being played there?

All sorts of things: card games like Skat and Rummikub.

Board games such as Halma, Dame and Mühle are also in our range.

Of course we also have chess boards.

How do you finance the games?

Do you have a budget for it?

I provide the games.

A few years ago, we as neighborhood help won a promotional award from the Volks- und Raiffeisenbank.

The prize was endowed with 1000 euros.

Games can also be bought from part of this sum.

Can you also bring your own games?

Yes of course.

Everyone can get involved with their own game.

If the others don't know what the rules of the game are, you just have to explain them to them beforehand.

In general, everyone can and should bring what they like to play at home.
