The two deceased: Senior Fire Chief Zhang Yaosheng (30 years old) and Fire Brigade Head Xu Zhijie (37 years old), died on June 21 and 23, 2016 respectively in the Shichang Mini Warehouse in Amoy Industrial Estate, Kowloon Bay.

However, 70% of the spread of the mini-storage fire involved is dominated by conduction, and the remaining 30% is convection and radiation, so it is more difficult to extinguish with water, which is really rare.

Underground water makes it more difficult for firefighters to move

Zhu also mentioned that he has seen colorful flames in the fire scene, but ordinary furniture on fire will only cause a red flame of about 600 degrees Celsius.

Zhu explained that he had never seen any furniture burning that would cause white, purple, and blue flames, so it is estimated that chemicals or plastics were burning at that time.
