The Yemeni armed forces announced today that they had shot down a Saudi-led spy plane while it was carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of Ma'rib Governorate.
"Our air defenses were able to shoot down a Saudi Air Force reconnaissance plane in the early hours of this morning with a surface-to-air missile," Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said in a statement carried by Al Masirah Net.
Saree explained that the plane was shot down while it was carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of the Juba District.
The air defenses of the Yemeni army were able to shoot down a number of spy planes belonging to the Saudi aggression, the last of which was the downing of a plane while it was carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of Marib Governorate on the 14th of last August.
