Germering - doors open every year across Germany with the mouse; this year there were 294 who offered something to the youngest under the motto “Hello Future”.
Children can take part in various hands-on activities and learn something at the same time.
“Sustainability is incompatible with a consumer and throwaway society. In order to reduce one's own ecological footprint, it is wise to use everyday objects for as long as possible ”, says the Alliance Future Germering. Children in particular quickly go through many age groups in their development that one constantly has to give away good things for which the children have become too big. On October 3rd, the alliance organized a toy swap party on the occasion of the door opener day of the show with the mouse.
For this purpose, families were able to bring well-preserved toys and children's books to the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer Church and then received stamps for them.
The toys were sorted into rooms by categories by members of the alliance: there were books and small toys, games and puzzles or sports equipment such as scooters or bicycles as well as large toys to be swapped.
On Sunday the children could choose toys in exchange for the brands.
Time slots ensured that the maximum number of people in the rooms was always observed.
