A 36-year-old is said to have stabbed a man of the same age at a bus stop in Saarbrücken.
The suspect presented himself a short time later, the police said on Wednesday.
According to initial knowledge, both men lived in the Saarbrücken regional association and had known each other for years.
When the suspect met the other man on Tuesday lunchtime at a Saarbahn stop, he is said to have stabbed him suddenly.
