    AirPods Pro: which tips fit?

The AirPods Pro are the first Apple headphones that can be individually adjusted.

This is ensured by three different silicone tips that fit in each ear.

To find out which tips fit your ears, there is a fit test on your iOS device.

Simply wear the AirPods, go to “Settings”, “Bluetooth” in the Apple device and select the AirPods Pro.

Then tap on "Ear tip fit test" and click on "Next" and finally on the play button.

After this test, you may be advised to use other tips to improve the sound quality.

Try other silicone tips and repeat the fit test.

AirPods Pro operation: the most important commands for everyday life

The AirPods Pro are primarily there for music, podcasts, and phone calls.

The in-ear headphones have a small pressure sensor that you can use to control the audio playback.

These are the most important commands:

    • Press once

: pause or resume the music

    • Press twice:

      skip to the next song.

    • Press three times:

      the previous song is played.

    • Long press:

Here you change the noise control mode and choose between active noise suppression and transparency mode.

    • The

      volume cannot be

      controlled

      with the pressure sensor

      .

Instead, use Siri, the app that is currently playing the music, or the control center.

If you are using the Apple Watch, you can control the volume with the Digital Crown.

    Are the AirPods Pro waterproof?

The AirPods Pro are actually the first Apple in-ear devices that are protected against splashing water and sweat.

    But nothing more.

Because the headphones are "only" equipped with protection class IPX4.

This means that a dive or a shower will most likely cause the AirPods Pro to stall.

AirPods Pro charging case: How to charge the case

The Apple AirPods Pro work very economically.

As soon as the headphones are plugged into the charging case, they switch off automatically and are charged.

With the charging case, a running time of up to 24 hours is possible.

The charging case can be charged wirelessly using a Qi-enabled charging pad or with the associated charging cable.

The lid of the case must be closed when doing this.

Charging works both with and without AirPods Pro.

AirPods Pro charging case: what do the LED colors mean?

The charging case also has a small LED that lights up green, red or white.

So you are always informed about the charge status.

If it is green, the AirPods Pro are charged and ready for use, if it is red, the headphones are still being charged.

If the AirPods are not in the charging case, green means that the box still has enough energy to charge the headphones.

If the LED light appears red, the case needs to be charged.

If you see a white LED, then the Apple AirPods Pro are in pairing mode and can be connected.

An error has occurred with a blinking red light.

AirPods Pro: Check the charge status of the charging case and headphones

If you want to find out how much Power Charging Case and the AirPods Pro still have, there are different solutions:

    • Hold the opened charging case near your iPhone.

A new window will now open that shows you the battery capacity of the case and AirPods Pro.

    • If you now take the in-ear headphones out of the charging case, your Apple device shows the charging status of the two headphones separately.

    • If the AirPods Pro are in operation, use the homescreen and go to the widgets to read the charge status.

AirPods Pro operation: Deactivate ear detection

The automatic ear recognition is actually practical.

When you insert the AirPods Pro you will hear a tone, if you take them off, they switch off by themselves.

That saves the battery and the in-ear headphones.

If you still want to deactivate the ear detection, you simply go to "Settings" in the paired device, select "Bluetooth" and tap the 1 behind the line "AirPods from ...". The controller can now be deactivated very easily.

AirPods Pro operation: Announce Siri messages and read them out loud

The Apple AirPods Pro have extensive functions with the Siri voice assistant.

If the "Announce Messages" function is activated, Siri will even announce incoming messages.

Siri will let you know if you're listening to music.

The playback is briefly interrupted and Siri gives the name of the sender.

Then she also reads the message aloud.

However, if this is too long, then it breaks off.

This prevents Siri from automatically reading out messages that are too long.

However, you can then ask Siri to read the message aloud.

To activate "Announce Messages", simply go to "Settings" on your Apple device, tap "Notifications" and activate "Announce messages with Siri".

You can also use Siri to reply to messages directly.

After the voice assistant has read the message, Siri waits a little longer for possible instructions.

For example, if you say “I'll be right there”, Siri will repeat your answer and send it after your confirmation.

You can also turn off confirmation.

This function can also be switched off under "Notifications" and "Announce messages with Siri".

AirPods Pro operation: Activate transparency mode

Active noise cancellation, called Active Noise Canceling (ANC) in technical terms, is a very practical function and shields you from the outside world.

Enjoy music, films or make phone calls without any ambient noise.

But in some situations, ANC can also be out of place, for example in traffic.

    The transparency mode helps here.

To activate this, press the force sensor on the headphones until you hear a beep.

AirPods Pro operation: Only listen with an AirPod Pro

Usually both AirPods Pro are used to enjoy music.

But under some circumstances, for example to save battery, you can only hear with an AirPod.

Simply leave the other one in the charging case.

The AirPods Pro automatically recognize which headphones are being used and convert the stereo sound into mono sound.

AirPods Pro operation: Stream audio content on another device

Are the AirPods Pro connected to your iPhone, but for once want to hear what's happening on another Apple device?

    It's relatively easy.

To do this, simply open the control center of the iOS device that is to be connected to the AirPods Pro.

In the top right corner you will see the audio icon.

Hold it down until it enlarges.

Now select the AirPlay icon and tap on your AirPods Pro.

AirPods Pro operation: let a second person overhear

With the AirPods Pro and all other AirPods from the first generation, you can share audio content with friends.

Just go to the AirPlay icon in Control Center or on the lock screen and tap on “Share Audio”.

This will connect another pair of compatible headphones.

How do I clean the Apple AirPods Pro?

Since the Apple In-Ear are only protected from splashing water, you should handle water carefully.

The charging case and headphones can be easily cleaned with a microfiber cloth.

You can clean the fine grids on the AirPods pro with a cotton swab.
