Benjamin List and David WC MacMillan were awarded the 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry "for the development of asymmetric organocatalysis."
"Its uses include the research of new pharmaceutical products and it has also helped to make chemistry more environmentally friendly," says a statement announcing the award.
