Covid-19: under what conditions can we travel to Corsica and overseas?

Since October 4, vaccinated people no longer need to be tested to travel to overseas territories. On site, restrictions are still in force in some overseas departments and territories.


Marked for some by an outbreak of Covid-19 cases and containment measures this summer, the overseas departments are easing their restrictions for vaccinated travelers.

Since Monday, October 4, people who have completed a complete vaccination schedule who go to a DOM-TOM from the metropolis no longer have to present a negative test for Covid-19.

The vaccination certificate is now sufficient to travel to or return from Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Reunion, Mayotte, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy.

Unvaccinated people over 12 years old must, on the other hand, always justify a compelling reason for going to these territories.

They must also have a negative test (72-hour PCR or 48-hour antigen), complete a health declaration and undertake to self-isolate for seven days upon arrival and to be screened at the end. of this period.

Corsica

Travelers over 12 years old traveling between Corsica and the mainland must have a health pass, i.e. one of the following three documents: a vaccination certificate, a negative test (PCR of 72 hours or 48 hours antigen) or an “immunity certificate” for people who have contracted Covid (ie a positive test carried out more than eleven days and less than six months before travel).

They must also complete a sworn statement attesting to the absence of symptoms.

These provisions apply to both air travel and boat travel.

"There is no exception for minors from 12 to 18 years old," recalls the Corsican Regional Health Agency.

Travel from or to Reunion is authorized without a compelling reason for fully vaccinated people.

The curfew in effect no longer applies since October 4.

The gauges in places open to the public are removed, except in discotheques (50%) and in concerts in a standing position (75%).

Wearing a mask is no longer compulsory in establishments subject to the health pass and welcoming the public outside.

Martinique

Travel from or to Martinique is authorized without a compelling reason for fully vaccinated people.

Containment measures are relaxed.

The exceptional travel certificate is required beyond the 10 km limit around his home (instead of 1 km previously), as recalled by the prefecture of Martinique.

The curfew is maintained between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The restaurants and sports halls are open again and are subject to the health pass.

Guadeloupe

Travel from or to Guadeloupe is authorized without a compelling reason for fully vaccinated people.

Containment measures have been lightened since September 22.

A curfew is still in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Travel beyond a radius of 10 km around the home remains subject to compelling reasons.

Access to beaches, rivers and streams is authorized from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Cinemas, restaurants and museums remain closed.

French Polynesia

Vaccinated travelers can go there provided they have a negative test (72-hour PCR or 48-hour antigen). Unvaccinated people can only go there for compelling reasons. In all cases, tourists must obtain travel authorization by registering on the Etis.pf site between 30 days and 6 days before departure. The unvaccinated must pay "health surveillance costs" of 12,000 Pacific francs (100 €), lowered to 5,000 peaceful francs (42 €) for the vaccinated. All travelers from 6 years old must have a PCR test on their arrival at Tahiti-Faa'a airport, regardless of their vaccination schedule. “A self-test kit with instructions will be given to them on disembarkation and a dedicated area under the supervision of an officer of theInstitut Louis Malardé (ILM) is equipped to allow travelers to carry out their self-test on site and drop them off between 5 and 10 am ”, specifies Tahiti Tourisme.

New Caledonia

Regular international flights to and from New Caledonia are suspended until October 31, 2021, recalls the New Caledonia tourist office.

Only travelers who can justify a compelling reason can go there, provided they observe a quarantine of 14 days and be tested at the end of this period.

This quarantine is reduced to 7 days for travelers who have been vaccinated with Pfizer / BioNTech or Moderna vaccines and have a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours.

Guyana

Travel from or to Guyana is authorized without a compelling reason for fully vaccinated people provided they have a negative test (72-hour PCR or 48-hour antigen).

A curfew applies from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday on the island of Cayenne, Macouria, Matoury, Rémire-Montjoly, Kourou, Sinnamary, Roura and Montsinéry Tonnegrande.

On the rest of the department (green zone), the curfew begins at 9 p.m.

The curfew applies throughout the department all day Sunday.
