The deployment of fiber in France is a tremendous success but it does not keep all of its promises.

More than 60% of French people have access to fiber, when the European average is only 38% and the proportion drops to 8% in Germany.
Nearly 15 million households have subscribed to it, according to estimates by Avicca, an association of connected municipalities and local authorities.
There are now more fiber subscribers than ADSL.
