In order not to be overwhelmed by a traffic avalanche, the community of Haar has buried all previous joint considerations with the city of Munich for a “Spange Haar Nord” (northern bypass) with a connection to the Rappenweg on the border with Trudering.

- The trigger are the plans for the fifth construction phase of the Messestadt Riem and other large-scale projects in the neighborhood of Haar.
"That would bring us traffic problems without end," said Peter Schießl (SPD) in the building committee.
The municipality lets the city know that Haar currently “sees no possibility of agreeing to such a connection”.
The Spange Nord is, now it was probably better, considering building a new road on the northern outskirts of Haar, from Eglfing along the railway line to Heimgartenstrasse, with a cut through to Rappenweg in the city area and on to Schwablhofstrasse.
That could have been interesting for Haar as a connection for a school campus that the district is planning at the Gronsdorf S-Bahn station, with a technical college - which is currently housed in an office building on Hans-Brush-Strasse - secondary school and possibly a nursing school.
Around 30,000 vehicles every day
But now the city of Munich is tackling the planning for the fifth construction phase of the Messestadt Riem; around 25 hectares between Kirchtrudering, the old Riemer Friedhof, Riemer Park and the Munich - Rosenheim railway line. According to Rathaus-Umschau, up to 2500 apartments, a primary school, a care facility and several integrated care facilities for children are planned. In addition, the city is planning the area on Rappenweg on the border with Haar, the Trudering redevelopment area south of the railway line, the planning area on Heltauer / Birthälmer Straße, is building a secondary school and a grammar school in the Messestadt Riem and wants to use the possibilities for redensification on Wasserburger Landstraße.The Wasserburger (B 304) leads out of the city through Haar in the direction of Ebersberg and already loads the local area of Haar with around 30,000 vehicles every day. As for the community of Haar itself: They also want to densify the development on the south side of Wasserburger Straße, according to the framework planning, among other things with a shopping center, an already approved 42-meter-high residential tower and another high-rise.
More parking spaces for the Riemer bathing lake
The breakthrough to the Rappenweg would lead to a lot of traffic in the municipality of Haar, and capacity bottlenecks would be expected at the Rappenweg / Schwablhofstrasse and Schwablhofstrasse / Wasserburger Landstrasse junctions.
Therefore: Better leave it.
In addition, the people of Haar tell the people of Munich that they should create more parking spaces for the bathing lake in Riem;
to take the pressure off of parking in the districts of Haar, especially the Gronsdorf colony.
