The world's largest online retailer Amazon has opened a new distribution center in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
As the company announced, a nearly 10,000 square meter logistics site in Neubrandenburg started work on Wednesday.
According to earlier information, 180 employees will work there.
A smaller distribution center started work in Rostock in September.
Neubrandenburg / Munich - Amazon is also building a large distribution center on Autobahn 20 in Dummerstorf near Rostock.
This should open in mid-2022 and give up to 1,000 employees work.
A warehouse is also to be built in Schwerin in the coming year, where more than 100 jobs are expected.
The group plans to open eight logistics locations across Germany with around 3,000 new jobs by mid-2022.
Along with Helmstedt (Lower Saxony) and Hof / Gattendorf (Bavaria), Dummerstorf is one of the larger distribution centers.
