A traffic system that is compatible with people and the environment: this is what some citizens in Türkenfeld and Geltendorf want to create.

That is why they have set up a new association: the car sharing cooperative Türkenfeld-Geltendorf.

Eleven founding members came together for this in the Linsenmannsaal.

Türkenfeld / Geltendorf - Basically, citizens should use their cars together.

The start of operations is planned for the beginning of 2022, after the entry in the register of associations.

Anyone over the age of 18 who has a valid driver's license can take part.

The offer should also be an incentive to forego a second vehicle.

In addition to the shared use of cars, the association also wants to implement other ideas.

For example, cargo bikes should be offered for use or a network for sharing MVV monthly tickets should be set up.

The association wants to show that a traffic turnaround is also possible in rural areas.

The members of the board were: Mike Gallen (chairman), Karl Mehl (deputy), Harald Wilsch (cashier) and Sabeeka Gangjee-Well, Markus Eisele and Martin Lessner (both assessors).

The homepage of the new association www.carsharing-koop.de is under construction.
