A five-month-old baby was hospitalized yesterday (Wednesday) in a very serious condition as she suffers from very severe post-corona syndrome.
Upon her arrival she needed life-saving operations and she was hooked up to a heart-lung machine (Akmo).
The baby was transferred from Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat to Safra Children's Hospital at Sheba Medical Center.
After investigation, it was discovered that she was suffering from multisystem inflammation caused by Post Corne Syndrome (PIMS).
She is hospitalized in the pediatric intensive care unit at Safra.

Dr. Itai Pesach, director of Safra Hospital, said: “The case in question is a painful reminder of the damage that the corona can cause.
It is very important that we go out and get vaccinated to protect myself, and those who cannot get vaccinated.
"Despite the baby's difficult condition, we are optimistic and do our best to give her the best and most dedicated care."
Meanwhile, the number of patients connected to Acme reached a peak from the outbreak of the plague, standing at 58 people.
Of these, two patients are under the age of 18, who are hospitalized in Schneider and Sheba.
