District Councillors arrived at the North Point Community Hall in the afternoon, including the Democratic Party Kwong Chun-yu involved in the primary election.
Yuen Long District Councillor Cheung Sau-yin stated on Facebook that he had applied to the Secretary for Home Affairs Xu Yingwei to postpone the oath and had attached medical records and certificates due to surgery.
Tsuen Wan District Councillor Liu Cheuk-yu said that the oath-taking process went smoothly. He was asked if he had co-signed against the legislation before the "Hong Kong National Security Act" came into effect. Would he worry about being DQ?

Regarding Tuen Mun District Councillors Wong Tak Yuen and Poon Chi Kwan’s refusal to take the oath, Tuen Mun District Council Vice Chairman Wong Dan Ching said that he respected their decision. He also pointed out that the dissolution of the Tuen Mun community network has nothing to do with passing the oath.
