She believes a double vaccination against influenza and Covid-19 is possible. "Anyone who is vaccinated against influenza is acting responsibly not only with regard to their own health, but also towards the health system, which is still under pressure from the corona pandemic and so there is no additional burden, ”said Nonnemacher on Friday.
Potsdam - The Standing Vaccination Commission (Stiko) recommends vaccination especially for people over 60 years of age and with an increased health risk, pregnant women, people in old people's and nursing homes as well as medical staff and facilities with a large audience.
The minister also referred to vaccinating against influenza and against Covid-19 at the same time in a package.
According to Stiko's recommendation, this is possible, said Nonnemacher.
So far, there should be a minimum interval of 14 days between vaccinations against Covid-19 and so-called dead vaccines.
"However, it should be ensured that the vaccinations are carried out on different limbs," recommended the minister.
The flu vaccines like the Covid-19 vaccines are generally well tolerated.
