A woman from Bruck wanted to help and became a victim herself.

Now a man was on trial who was accused of being the perpetrator - but there was nothing to prove to him.

The incidents in question took place more than two years ago.

Fürstenfeldbruck - Back then, in the spring of 2019, the 57-year-old was looking after two dissolved girls who had recently been molested by a stranger at a bus stop in Hauptstrasse.

While comforting the two of them, the helpful woman took her handbag out of her eyes.

When she turned around again, the bag was gone - along with the wallet, keys, papers and cell phone.

Horrified, the woman, living alone, ran to the police.

She was only able to re-enter her apartment in the evening with the help of a locksmith.

She kept calling her cell phone from the landline - until a young man actually picked it up.

He pretended to be an honest finder and brought her bag back to her that night.

"Nothing was missing," reported the Bruck woman in court.

Frequent contact

She gained confidence in the man who was one of her sons when she was old. In the following time she had more contact with him. She loaned him small sums of money and tried to help him find a place to live. He came by several times, once even with his girlfriend. The 21-year-old himself claims to have broken off contact with the Brucker because her ex-husband and a son suggested this to him. The two would have intercepted him in front of the apartment and prevented the woman from giving him more money.

She herself only noticed a few weeks later that she was missing pieces of jewelry, including two gold rings, chains and a dragonfly-shaped pendant that meant a lot to her. She is sure that only the 21-year-old could have taken the things because otherwise there was no stranger in her apartment. The man, who had a criminal record for assault, robbery, theft and drug possession, denied having stolen from the Bruckerin. There was no solid evidence.

A second charge also collapsed.

Accordingly, one evening in 2019, the 21-year-old tore the imitation of a Rolex watch from a 17-year-old friend from Olching and disappeared with it.

On the witness stand, however, the 17-year-old remembered absolutely nothing.

The trainee informed the court that he did not know why he had been summoned to the hearing.

The case against the 21-year-old was dropped.
