Afghanistan: 100 killed and injured in an explosion at a Shiite mosque in the north of the country
In the Taliban it is estimated that a suicide bomber infiltrated a mosque in the city of Condoz and blew himself up during Friday prayers.
It is the deadliest attack in the country since the withdrawal of American forces in August, and ISIS, which haunts the Shiite minority, is suspected of being behind it.

At least 100 people have been killed or injured in an explosion at a Shiite mosque in northern Afghanistan today (Friday), a Taliban official said. No organization has claimed responsibility for the attack in the city of Kunduz at this time, but the ISIS branch in the country tends to attack the Shiite minority. It is the deadliest attack in the country since the withdrawal of American forces in August.
Dust Muhammad Obeida, deputy chief of police in the province of Kunduz, said most of the victims were killed. He said the attack may have been carried out by a suicide bomber. "I assure our Shiite brethren that the Taliban are prepared to ensure their safety," Obeida said. He added that the investigation is ongoing.
Since the Taliban took control of the country in August, its fighters have been attacked in deadly ISIS attacks, including ambush shootings and an explosion earlier this week in a mosque in the capital, Kabul.
The blast occurred during Friday prayers, with mosques usually crowded with worshipers.
Ali Raza, an eyewitness, said that he prayed at the time of the explosion and that he saw many casualties.
Photos and videos of the scene documented the rescue forces carrying a wrapped body, and the stairs at the entrance to the mosque were covered in blood.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said earlier that the Shiite mosque was the target and that "a large number" of worshipers had been killed and wounded.
He said special forces from the Taliban had arrived at the scene and were investigating the incident.
