Armed attack on Nuremberg gas station: masked man steals cash

Nuremberg- On Thursday evening (October 7th) a previously unknown perpetrator attacked a gas station in the St. Jobst district of Nuremberg *.

The police headquarters in Middle Franconia * reported in a message.

At 6:11 p.m., a passer-by contacted the police and reported the incident in Äußere Sulzbacher Straße.

Shortly before, a masked man had entered the gas station with a pistol and demanded cash.

Then he fled on foot towards the city center.

The police are now looking for the alleged gas station robber.

According to the officials, the unknown man is between 25-30 years old and about 1.70-1.80 m tall.

He is of normal stature and wore light-colored shoes, blue jeans and a hoodie at the time of the crime.

The man was masked and wore the hood of his sweater on his head.

He also had a backpack with him.

According to witness statements, he was also armed with a black pistol. 

Nuremberg: Police initiated a search - search for perpetrators with dogs and helicopters

No one was injured in the attack.

The police immediately started a manhunt for the stranger.

Service dogs and a helicopter were also used.

The officers had initially arrested a suspect in the immediate vicinity of the gas station.

The suspicion was not confirmed after initial checks.  

The police is asking for hints from the witnesses.

Anyone who can provide information about the identity of the perpetrator or what happened, is asked to contact the officers on (0911) 21 12 33 33.

The police have also issued a warning.

Witnesses who encounter a suspect should immediately call 110 police emergency number and behave carefully.

It is assumed that the perpetrator is still armed.
