As the police * announced on Friday, the driver initially drove regularly on the south-west bypass in the direction of his mother, who had stopped driving.
But then he turned his car around in the middle of the expressway and became a ghost driver: He drove on the hard shoulder in the opposite direction to his mother.
The police describe the son's action as "extremely dangerous".
The wrong-way driver can now expect a fine.
