Christopher Ramírez, the 3-year-old boy who disappeared on Wednesday in Grimes County, Texas, was found alive this Saturday, his stepfather confirmed to Noticias Telemundo.
The family was at their home when the police arrived and told their mother, Araceli Núñez, to get on the patrol.
Soon after, she was able to see her son after almost three days of anguish.
Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell assured our sister network NBC News that the child was found
almost five miles from his home
(8 km) at 11:15 am this Saturday.
Apparently he got lost in the woods, he added.
Sowell noted that
the boy is in good shape,
just quite thirsty.
"He had some water," he said.
Now he is with his mother, and the sergeant who has been working on the case, in an ambulance headed to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, to be checked.
